Birth-Wyatt was 9lbs12oz and 20 3/4in He latched on but not correctly. We saw a lactation consultant 2 times and kept trying after that. He had jaundice for a good week. At 3 days of age we had to start him on formula as well. Using formula and breastmilk I was exhausted everyday until 2 months of age.
1 month-holding head and smiling more in sleep.2 mos- Wyatt made it up to almost 13 lbs and 24in. His mark on his face (unknown at the time) blistered up the first time ever June 5. The day we went to SF to take the dependants cruise, he had this blister on his face with puss coming out of it. It freaked me out the first time I saw it. We went to Urgent Care and the results for the puss came back negative for bacteria. That was also the day we said bye to Daddy for 2 months :( The mark on his face was there since he was maybe 3 wks old. It never bothered him. He was now being formula fed only. 4 ounces every 4-5 hours.
3 months- he laid on his belly without fussing and liked to play on his mat from IKEA. His mark on his face was diagnosed to be mastocytoma. Not to ever go away and to only blister like that when he has either had advil, alcohol or just irritated it somehow. Still it doesnt bother him. It became really red again while in AL and Carrie and I took him to the Pediatric ER in Huntsville. He was again fine but it will keep happening. I feel so bad for him, bc its not thAt small either! :/ He is still a handsome looking fellow if i might say so myself! ;)4 mos- Wyatt made it to 15lbs and 27in. He was holding his bottle for maybe 1min at the most. Eating 5-6 ounces every 4-5 hours. We started pouring in rice or oatmeal cereal into his formula. He liked the rice cereal the most at first then we tried the oatmeal and that he didnt care too much for. So back to the rice cereal we went. He guzzled it down until he was about 4months and 3 weeks. He started getting distracted and fussing more while he ate. We would have to stop and give the last 2 oz either after a nap or 20-25min. He was more picky now and very demanding of our time. He used to be content but now we could tell he knew us and was comforted by us. Also i started going to the gym around that time and he cried the first 2 times but then got used to the girls at Kid Care (The Big C Athletic Club). He now sits in his baby einstein jumper but his attention span is still not quite developed. Wyatt also moved into the baby tub this month. The sling we took out. He loves to watch baby einstein. We even made the mistake of letting him fall asleep to it but it just messed him up and would be awake again when we turned it off. I started using teething products, but he didnt care too much for the coolness just yet.
5 mos- Wyatt is still 27in and now at 16lbs. He had his rocknroll pics taken today and now he eats 6-7 oz with rice cereal. He now eats (slowly but surely) the cereal out of a bowl and 5mo1wk he tried green beans for the first time. He spit it out :P Tried again and the airplane was def a hit! :) Wyatt likes to chew on cold wet wash cloths and knaw on carrots. I think the carrots are his favorite bc he gets really into it on his left side. Too cute!
We started him on green beans first and he took to it quite well. At first he was confused but since he was already getting used to the spoon and all it wasnt a complete shock! :) He now eats cereal and formula in the morning, cereal and green beans in the afternoon and then that as well for dinner. We may change back to oatmeal though b/c i think he is constipated. :(
Yaaaaaaay!!! today is Sept.22 and baby has rolled over for the first time ever!! He wanted the remote and he wasnt falling asleep so he was out on the couch playing with us. He wanted it and just...went for it :) :) Here is my baby rolling over ...then not so
happy with our excitment :P poor baby BUT HE DID IT! :D
Sept 26th, Wyatt and i were playing on the mat and he discovered himself in the mirror again :P
Now whenever i try to feed him he gets distracted and wont stay still unless he is StAAARving! He likes to roll over now whenever he gets the chance! I love it! I walked into his room the other day during nap time to check on him, only to discover my little baby on his stomach sleeping. I put him down on his back! :O He is amazing ha!
October 14th =)
Baby Wyatt is 6 months today and he is just a sitting up and babbeling away! Here is a picture of him just playing with his toys:
Wyatt loves to sit up now and he is bouncing back and forth on his knees and hands. He eats about 6-7 ounces, four times a day. He is now eating the basic veggies and fruits really well. He plays with other babies and loves to watch older kids. Wyatt is now making rasberries and roaring all the time. He makes us laugh with all his faces and noises.
